Tell us what is going on. A counsellor will call you back.
What happens after you send this
A counsellor calls you back on the number you give us. The conversation is confidential and there is no cost. They will ask about what is being used, how long for, previous treatment attempts, physical and mental health, and what support exists at home.
From there you get a straight recommendation on the level of care that fits, an honest picture of what it costs, and a check of what your medical aid may cover. If a state or NGO option is the better fit for your circumstances, we will tell you that too.
If someone is in immediate danger - unconscious, having a seizure, or at risk of harming themselves - call 112 or 10177 now rather than waiting for a call back.
If heavy daily drinking is involved, do not stop abruptly before speaking to a doctor. Alcohol withdrawal can be dangerous, and that is one of the first things we will ask about.
